NOVAFERT 3rd General Assembly on alternative fertilisers

The 3^rd General Assembly of NOVAFERT project took place last September 13^th – 14^th, 2023 in the EIT Food South office, located in the Technological Park of Biscay, in Zamudio, Spain. This assembly coincides with the first anniversary of the project, so the partners went trough all work packages to check both ongoing and upcoming activities.

The meeting was attended by all project partners who, among all activities discussed, focused on:

The definition of the living labs and the strategy to select one lighthouse demo per each EU region represented in NOVAFERT.
The missing information to complete the SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threatens) and the PEST (Political, Economic, Social and Technical) analyses on the use of fertilisers produced using the secondary raw materials addressed to each region.
The upcoming stakeholders engagement activities, including the synergies with NOVAFERT sister project, FER-PLAY.

The event finalised with a visit to the Basque Institute of Agricultural Research and Development (NEIKER) premises in Vitoria, where the project partners learnt about NEIKER’s running activities in the framework of Horizon Europe programme.
