A conference focusing on the Rights of Nature and the United Nations Earth Assembly is scheduled for Tuesday, February 6th, at the Rectorate Building of the University of Malaga.
Hosted by the Chair of Digital Tourism and Coastal Tourism of the University of Malaga, in collaboration with the Vice-Rectorate of Infrastructure and Sustainability, the event also enjoys support from the Harmony with Nature program of the United Nations and the Chair of Rights of Nature and Human Rights at the University of Murcia. Notably, Ms. Mª Mercedes Sánchez, the coordinator of the UN’s “Harmony with Nature” program, will participate via streaming.
This program advocates for a new world order grounded in a non-anthropocentric relationship with Nature, transcending human-centric perspectives of environmental ethics. The conference promises an invaluable opportunity to delve into contemporary environmental challenges and ponder the pivotal role of nature’s rights within tourist destinations.
