BOOST dissemination activities on precision agriculture with Spanish students

Last February 2023, we organized, from BIOAZUL together with BALAM, a dissemination event of the BOOST project in the University of Cordoba, Spain. BOOST is an Erasmus+ project where we work on empowering professionals through advanced training on sustainable precision agriculture.

On this occasion students of Agronomy from different levels, including bachelor’s and master’s degree, were gathered to present the general objectives of the BOOST project and to introduce the students to the framework of Precision Agriculture. Students showed great interest in the work we are doing in the project and were curious on the training that will be developed in the near future.

After the presentation of BOOST project, students were asked to complete a questionnaire aimed to assess their training needs and gaps in competencies/skills related to precision agriculture technologies and also examines their entrepreneurial mindset and a set of potential predictors of these two constructs (WP1 – T1.1 “Identification of students’ training needs”). More specifically, the students were asked about their general perceptions of Precision Agriculture, and their adoption of and involvement with Precision Agriculture.

The analysis of the questionnaires data, together with the rest of the questionnaires compiled in the other partners’ countries, will provide detailed insights into the opinions from the perspective of university students in the field of precision agriculture that will serve as a starting point for the following steps of our project.
