On November 22 and 23, the InformPack Workshop titled “Education for the sustainable management of our waste” will take place, an event organized by BIOAZUL together with the Smart Campus of the University of Málaga and in collaboration with the AMAS Málaga (Metropolitan Association of Artists social), the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the University of Malaga and its corresponding Student Council.
This workshop is organized within the framework of the InformPack project dedicated to the active participation of citizens to achieve a sustainable change in the culture of food packaging in Europe. Among the activities carried out in the project is to educate university centers about sustainable waste management to promote sustainability and reduce environmental impact.
The activity will take place in the morning, with a duration of 2 hours. It will begin with the projection of audiovisual materials generated within the framework of the project. Next, participants will move to the Eco Classroom of the Faculty of Education Sciences to start an exciting game with the aim of creating “recycling islands” by reusing the center’s containers.
These recycling islands will be distributed in various spaces of the Faculty, including the entrance hall, the interior patios, the student rooms, the Eco Classroom and the space in front of the Eco Classroom with tables. In addition to the creation of recycling islands, as part of the InformPack project, posters will be placed with relevant information on waste management, thus promoting sustainable practices in the use of different spaces.
The activity will culminate with a brief review and the delivery of gifts to those who have participated.
